Ramp timer schedule is the most fundamental timer. This timer type instructs your light to slowly ramp up (brighten) at a specific time ( when you wake up) and slowly ramp down (dim) at a specific time. You can customize ramp action for specific days . For example your lights can turn on and off at later times if it's the weekend.

Fighting algae? You can have your lights come on as you wake up, turn off when you leave for work and turn  back on as you come back from work. This way your aquarium isn't receiving excess light when not needed.

You light comes with pre-installed color scenes to get you started. 

You can also create your own scenes/ color fades; so your lights fade between your favorite colors at the speed and brightness setting you desire. 

Make sure to adjust the brightness for each color you add to your fade keep brightness consistent. 

Separate from ramp timers, you can also schedule so your favorite scenes display at times and day's you desire, for a duration.
